Casey and Brittni's Wedding Day: June 7, 2013 Redding California
The day my little Brittle was no longer wrong and became Mrs.“Wright”. These two just melt my heart, and the love they share for each other was made SO clear on their wedding day!
When Brittni first told me she was dating a guy named Casey, I thought “hmm, I'll never forget that one” (my little brothers name is KC) It wasn’t until a couple of years after they started dating that I finally had the pleasure of meeting Casey. Side Note: Brittni and I live on two complete ends of the state of California. Brittni lives all the way at the top, in Redding, and I am down in San Diego, just about as far as you can go before entering into Viva la Mexico. So as you can imagine, we don’t get to see each other as often as we would like. My first impression of Casey was “He’s nice, cute, tall, kinda quite, he could be pretty good for Britt”. Mind you, he was in MY territory, San Diego, an unfamiliar place to him. I saw Casey ONE other time before he and Brittle got engaged and that was on MY wedding day. This only goes to say, I didn’t get much of a chance to get to know him more.
About a year later, they were engaged and I went up into THEIR territory, Redding California. Redding is a cute, small, country(ish) town. (Where I actually grew up) I flew up to spend time with them and throw an engagement party for the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. During my time there, I was definitely starting to see signs of why my bestie chose Casey. Little things like he loves Coors Light (like my husband), he has an awesome sidekick (dog) named Buck who goes with him EVERYWHERE, he has a contagiously goofy laugh, he listens to country music (that's a BIG one), he let me shoot his guns (so awesome), he has such sweet/fun friends, he sets up make shift volleyball nets in his front yard with halogen lights so everyone can play all night long, he sets up killer bon fires on his property, I mean, he has a pretty good list of pros! But the moment I knew he was the “Wright” (no pun intended) guy for Brittle was when he let me drive his TRUCK! And let me just tell you, I felt pretty dang Awesome with a capital “A”!! If you know men like I do, they DO NOT let people drive their "Rig". But Casey knew this could be the key to getting the O.K. from me to marry my Brittni. And you know what, he was “Wright”. From that moment on I consider Casey one of my best friends too! :)
I love you both like crazy, and can’t wait for all of our FUN future endeavors!
A Toast to the Newlyweds:
Brittle: To all our CRAZY times, endless cookie dough scarfing, laughing until we have killer abs and to an incredible friendship!
Casey: To forever allowing me to shoot your guns and drive your truck!...oh and to being our bff! :)
